Monday MICKnugget- From Tech to Voting, the Use and Misuse of Power

October 19, 2026

Monday opened Early Voting in Brevard. I cast my ballot before noon and the process was smooth and simple, as it usually is. I’d spent a good deal of time contemplating my votes and shared those over the weekend in a MICKnugget. We discussed them on the show this morning. We also hit on AI tools and their misuse by vindictive school kids and robot dogs patrolling Atlanta’s communities with some interesting results.

Early voting will continue until Saturday, 10.31.26, interesting that it’s Halloween and maybe we all have reason to be scared. Our choices in some races are slim or nonexistent and that bothers me. Until we demand better candidates, we are being underserved in far too many positions.

Tomorrow morning Dave Bowman will join us as we look at the worst of the WNBA and it’s not the players and their actions, believe it or not. Trans-athletes and Washington State controversy are in play as are free speech and America’s pulpits. Dave Does History takes us to Thomas Paine and a revolution that may not have succeeded without him.

We’ll talk in the morning on the Bill Mick Podcast.
